Jack Lyons has a long held passion to improve the opportunities and way of life for people in his community. Jack has grown up in Kangaroo Flat in a large family and understands the daily cost of living pressure we all face. He is a qualified carpenter, has been involved in agriculture, owned and operated a child care centre and has employed many people during his more than 25-year plus career in small business and hospitality. For the past 10 years he has been a project manager at a medium sized Civil Construction company.
Jack’s community involvement includes membership of the Kangaroo Flat Community Enterprise, The Kangaroo Flat RSL, funding and donating a cricket pitch to a local school, and donating his time and business resources to build a Lone Pine ANZAC Day Memorial. Jack is also a volunteer committee member of the Bendigo Jockey Club. As a community volunteer, Jack supports many community events and groups including beautifying the Bendigo West railway station with the Kangaroo Flat stationeers, volunteers regularly at the Community Kitchen for the disadvantaged and also the Kangaroo Flat Community Family Fun Day.
Lilly has over 20 years experience in Local Government and two years with the State Government in Bendigo, which involved working with the business sector and various community groups for many years.
Lilly has also been an active board member for many business associations and community groups throughout the Bendigo Region. She particularly enjoys her involvement in the Kangaroo Flat Community Enterprise for the wonderful work this group does regarding projects and initiatives that they undertake.
Sarah Mulqueen married a local resident, moved here from Melbourne with him 23 years ago and have two sons.
Both attended Big Hill Primary School were their father went, and where Sarah become a parent representative at the school council for seven years, on the Parents and Friends committee. She was also on Helm Street Kinder Committee while the boys were attending there.
Sarah worked for the Kangaroo Flat Sports for 12 years. She wanted to become involved with the local community and felt the Kangaroo Flat and District Community Enterprise is the place to do this. Now secretary of the Community Enterprise, Sarah looks forward to the opportunity to assist in future developments that will enhance and support the local community.
Ann Jones lived around Kangaroo Flat and Bendigo for over 43 years and has been an owner-operator of small businesses over this time.
Ann was a councillor for Kangaroo Flat for six years and was a former Director of the CVGT Employment and Training Specialists Board. She was also the Vice Chairman of Bendigo Heartbeat and active member of numerous other organisations.
Alix works predominantly in estate and business succession planning. Alix currently works at Beck Legal; one of the most prominent and go and Central Victoria. She loves being a part of KFCE to discuss ideas to enhance the Kangaroo Flat Community.
Bruce was a part of the Radio and Television industry for 30 years in senior management at Sunraysia Televison (STV-8 Mildura) and Network Ten Melbourne. Chief Executive Officer of Aged care and Retirement Living for 20 years. Life Member Mildura Apex Club. Now retired.
He is currently accredited mediator at Central Mediation Victoria and an accredited Business Law Specialist and also hold directorships at Law Council of Australia, Bendigo Community Health,Kangaroo Flat Sports Club and Kangaroo Flat Community Enterprise and am a board member of Victorian Legal Services Board.
