New solar lighting was installed along the Bendigo Creek Trail in Kangaroo Flat. This lighting makes early morning walks or evening strolls safer and our community healthier.

One of the most successful projects of the Enterprise has been Gurri Wanyarra, a contemporary aquatic, health and wellbeing centre in Kangaroo Flat. This $32 million project was supported by us and the broader community to meet the needs of local residents.

Spring Gully Senior Citizens group has been provided with a Defib for their community space. Ensuring everyone has access to help when they need it is one way our Enterprise is helping the Spring Gully community.

Thanks to a partnership with KFCE Marong Preschool is now leading the way with a state of the art interactive screen, and software to assist children in their development. Principal Karen Craig said, “This type of technology caters for all kids, allowing them to learn in different ways and to embrace technology. It ensures they aren’t a step behind when they step up in the school system.”

Marong Shire celebrated 150 years with a publication on the History of Marong. We got to be a part of helping them celebrate history, heritage and culture within their community!

As it is a part of our vision to provide resources, programs and facilities for every community in our area, we helped upgrade the fitness track at Maiden Gully Primary School. This not only provided a benefit for all the students, but everyone else in the township as well!

A Whisper Flow generator is a much sought after lifesaving device in the ambulance. We were able to intervene and provide ambulance officers with access to the special purchase. This piece of equipment enables paramedics to treat people with respiratory problems with positive pressure ventilation.

Marong Titans Tennis Club has our Enterprise to thank for great new facilities and equipment. A grant of $3,000 was provided which enabled a new shade area, tennis nets and safety equipment to be installed at the court complex.

As one of the initiatives of the Lockwood Fire Brigade is to reduce its environmental impact, so our enterprise decided to to help out! Partnering with us the LFB was approved for the installation of 1.5kW solar panel array to improve the efficiency and safety of the emergency response service.

We were pleased to provide Bendigo Special Developmental School with some new resources and specialised tools to cater for their students’ behavioural and intellectual needs. Students received literacy packs designed to encourage them to create their own stories. Students from as far as Wedderburn, Kyneton, Castlemaine, Maldon and Heathcote attend the school in Kangaroo Flat.
