THE MAKING OF OLYMPIC PARADE

Each morning at this time of the year, our local students make their way along a busy Olympic Parade in Kangaroo Flat to attend Crusoe College and Kangaroo Flat Primary School.

This stretch of road is also a very busy as traffic moves to the growing areas of Maiden Gully and Marong.

FLAT MATTERS is pleased to have worked with some local residents and also with staff at the City of Greater Bendigo to search out the history of how long Olympic Parade has been in place as well as the naming of several streets in the area and thus reflecting the sporting talents of our Olympians through the journey.

Victoria is the only state or territory in Australia that still requires P-plate drivers to be
aged 18 or over.
